Cubewerkz Cubing Academy

Cubewerkz Cubing Academy

Cubewerkz Cubing Academy

Cubewerkz Cubing Academy is founded on a simple belief: cubing should be fun, accessible, and meaningful for everyone. Whether you are a beginner solving your first cube, a hobbyist exploring new puzzles, or a competitive cuber chasing personal bests, we pair you with the right trainer to achieve your goals.

Over the years, we have delivered 5,000+ hours of training to 1,000+ students, nurturing cubers of all ages and skill levels.

Early Beginnings (2015–2020)

Cubewerkz started with ad-hoc group training sessions in 2015, initially held at a Math tuition center and later expanding to larger sessions at the Singapore Sports Hub in 2016. Early activities included teaching, community meet-ups, and small unofficial competitions, sparking lasting interest in cubing.

Before opening a permanent academy in 2020, Cubewerkz brought cubing to schools, community programs, and students across Singapore, creating a flexible and inclusive learning environment.

Making Cubing Fun for Everyone

  • Beginners: Learn to solve their first cube.
  • Hobbyists: Explore 2x2, 4x4, Pyraminx, Skewb, Clock, Square-1, and more.
  • Competitive cubers: Chase milestones like sub-1 minute, sub-30, sub-20, sub-15, and sub-10 seconds.
  • Advanced specialists: Focus on particular WCA events.

We match students with trainers based on their goals, whether it’s CFOP mastery, advanced 2x2 (EG1/EG2), big cubes, Fewest Moves Challenge (FMC), or Blindfold solving.

Structured Training Programs

  • 3x3 & CFOP: Cross, F2L, OLL/PLL, look-ahead, finger tricks.
  • Advanced 2x2: EG1/EG2, high-efficiency solving.
  • NxN & Big Cubes: Trainers who are national record holders.
  • FMC Coaching: Domino Reduction, Insertion HTR, Commutators, Conjugates, edge orientation, and advanced block-building.
  • Event Specialists: Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1, Clock, One-Handed, FMC, and more.
  • Blindfold Mastery: Memo systems, execution methods, and optimization, guided by NR holders.

A Family-Friendly & Competitive Environment

Each student is matched with a coach suited to their style—patient mentors for young learners and performance-driven trainers for competitive students.

Developing the Next Generation of Leaders

Cubewerkz encourages junior cubers to contribute to the community as runners, judges, or scramblers, developing teamwork, responsibility, and leadership. Many grow into officials, mentors, and leaders in Singapore’s cubing ecosystem.
